Lionel & Chris's Party

They may look like old duffers, but anyone who has ever been to one of Lionel or Chris's Birthday Parties over the last 4 or 5 years will know that they throw the best parties imaginable!

Always with a theme that requires saucy and revealling clothing, as well as a very open mind, these occur late November/early December each year, in some large all night venue where anything goes and the party doesnt stop.

They started with the Beauty and the Beast Party for Chris's 60th Birthday, in a South London squat/warehouse used by Reclaim the Streets. Over 10 different and alternative acts appeared on stage, including the awe inspiring Moredekkers (Tipi-valley's own fussion of traditional British instruments and Drum and Base) and of course, Barking Bateria, all served up with drunken debauchery, a cornucopia of food and lashings of mushroom Tea.

A year Later, and like the queen, Chris felt he desrved two birthdays, so joined with his colleagues Lionel and Paul to celebrate their 60th again, with a Moulin Rouge Party in the 491 Gallery, Leyton. The costumes, decorations, performers and Can-Can dancers again were outstanding, with over 300 people enjoying the party until well into the next day.

1920's costumes took the floor the following year at Unity Works, Hackney Wick, where the Charleston dancers Flapped their way around the many Tommy guns to the rhythm produced, once again by, outstanding singers and performers, and of course the band.

This Year, it's Lionel's Party, and we are expecting great things from this CABARET theme. Performances from Moredekkers and Barking Bateria as well as many others. The date and location are still unnanonced but watch this space!
